Quality Assurance Manager

We're hiring a senior QA Manager or Lead to own quality engineering across our video, embedded, and cloud platforms.

This is a hands-on leadership role - you'll manage a team of 6 (growing to 8), set QA strategy, and drive the team's transition toward a fully automated SDET model. Two dedicated SDETs are already writing automation code full-time; the goal is to get the whole team there.

What you'll own

• Lead and grow a QA team of 6→8, including 2 SDETs focused on automation
• Own QA strategy across video pipelines, embedded systems, and cloud/web applications
• Drive the team-wide transition to automated testing and an SDET culture
• Define and report QA metrics: coverage, automation rates, defect trends
• Partner with Engineering and Product to integrate quality early in the dev lifecycle

Required

• Currently or recently in a QA Manager, QA Lead, or Senior QA Lead role — you've led a team
• Deep, hands-on video background: codecs, streaming protocols (HLS, DASH, MPEG-2 TS), OTT or broadcast QA, and real playback/quality validation
• Experience leading or scaling a shift toward automated testing
• Technical enough to credibly manage engineers who write automation code

Nice to have

• Embedded software or hardware QA — STBs, smart TVs, or media players
• Cloud or web application testing — API testing, CI/CD pipelines
• Hands-on automation coding experience (Python, Java, or similar)
