React Native Engineer

New York City Metropolitan Area (Hybrid)

We're looking for a Senior React Native Engineer who's actually shipped for OTT and connected TV to help build and scale the apps our audience uses to watch.

What you'll do:

• Build and maintain React Native applications across OTT and CTV platforms (think Roku, Apple TV, Fire TV, Android TV, and similar)
• Work closely with backend teams to integrate playback, streaming, and media APIs into a smooth, fast client experience
• Solve the unique headaches that come with TV platforms — remote-based navigation, focus management, performance on constrained hardware
• Push for performance and reliability on devices that don't have the horsepower of a modern phone
• Collaborate across web, mobile, and OTT teams to keep the experience consistent everywhere

What you bring:

• Strong experience with React Native in production, ideally with real OTT/CTV shipping experience (not just mobile)
• Understanding of the quirks of TV app development — focus/navigation models, platform-specific SDKs, performance constraints
• Experience integrating with streaming/playback APIs
• A track record of shipping polished, performant apps on tricky hardware
• Comfortable working closely with backend and platform teams, not just heads-down in your own codebase
