Data Testing Engineer I Brazil, Costa Rica, Mexico
Data Testing Engineer for a high-scale video streaming org.
This is a back-end data role - pipelines, BigQuery, ETL validation, cloud infrastructure. Not front-end tracking QA.
What you'll be doing:
→ Validate ETL/ELT processes and data accuracy across ingestion, transformation, and querying
→ Write SQL in BigQuery to run reconciliation checks and integrity testing
→ Build automated validation frameworks using Python/Shell scripting → Work with pipeline tools like Apache Beam, Dataflow, or Spark
→ Use GenAI (Claude required) for anomaly detection, validation automation, and root cause analysis
→ Validate BI reporting data in Tableau or Looker
What we're looking for:
→ 5+ years in QA with a focus on big data / analytics
→ Strong SQL and BigQuery proficiency
→ Hands-on ETL/ELT validation experience
→ Familiarity with GCP and/or AWS
→ Python or Shell scripting for automation
→ JIRA, Confluence, Agile Bonus: Media or streaming industry background, BI tool experience, data observability tooling
