Technical Lead - AWS | API

We are looking for a highly skilled Technical Lead to drive the architecture, implementation, and leadership of API and Eventing platforms across a diverse portfolio of digital systems, services, and applications. This role is essential in delivering scalable, secure, and developer-friendly integration capabilities within a modern cloud-based environment.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on technologist with deep AWS expertise, a strong background in serverless and event-driven systems, and a passion for enabling high-impact collaboration across teams.

Day-to-day role:

• Architect scalable API and eventing platforms using AWS services that meet integration, performance, and security requirements.
• Provide technical leadership, set engineering standards, and mentor developers across teams.
• Contribute hands-on to key codebases focused on API management and serverless/event-driven infrastructure.
• Collaborate across teams to understand integration needs and drive adoption of shared services.
• Ensure operational excellence through observability, CI/CD automation, and high availability practices.
• Align platform strategy with broader architectural and business objectives.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 10+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 3 years in a technical leadership or principal role.
• Deep experience building and operating API-driven and event-based systems on AWS, including tools like API Gateway, Lambda, EventBridge, SNS/SQS.
• Strong programming skills in JavaScript, Node.js, and TypeScript.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code frameworks such as CDK, Terraform, or CloudFormation.
• Solid understanding of distributed systems and service-oriented architecture (SOA).
