Python Developer - Internal Tooling

• W2 Contract

• €55/hour

We are looking for a highly skilled engineer to support a transition from legacy systems to GitHub, while also driving tooling and automation initiatives. This is a hands-on, client-facing role working directly with developers in Philadelphia and collaborating with our tooling team in Ireland.

Responsibilities:

• GitHub migration & support: Help teams migrate from legacy systems to GitHub.
• Develop tools (primarily in Python) to improve developer workflows, streamline processes, and reduce manual effort.
• Contribute to the team’s backlog of automation projects.
• Work with Jenkins (still in use for some jobs) as well as GitHub Actions for CI/CD automation.
• Support an embedded Linux environment where needed.

Requirements

• Expert-level GitHub knowledge (actions, permissions, migrations, enterprise usage).
• Strong Python development skills (tooling, automation, scripting).
• Familiarity with Jenkins.
• Experience in an embedded Linux environment a plus.
• Strong documentation skills.
