Software Manager

On-site Hybrid | Dallas Texas | Permanent

We’re hiring a Software Manager with strong RDK-B and networking experience to lead software development and product delivery for broadband gateway and router solutions supporting North American customers.

This role combines technical leadership, project management, and customer engagement, working closely with internal engineering teams, marketing, and external partners to deliver high-quality broadband products.

Responsibilities

• Work with the marketing team and customers to define product features for North American markets
• Define technical solutions and architecture for new product functionality
• Build project plans, break down development tasks, and assign work to internal teams and third-party partners
• Track development progress and ensure timelines and milestones are met
• Define and manage the product qualification and validation plan
• Ensure product quality and compliance with company QA processes
• Lead investigation and resolution of issues reported from the field
• Lead technical escalations with the support of senior management when required

What You Will Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering (Master’s degree a plus)
• 5+ years experience with RDK-B development for routers or gateways
• Strong programming skills in C/C++
• Experience with build systems such as Yocto, Buildroot, or OpenWRT
• Strong knowledge of networking protocols including ARP, IPv4, IPv6, ICMP, TCP, UDP, GRE, DNS, DHCP, IGMP, SNMP, CWMP/TR-069, USP
• Experience with WAN and LAN technologies such as DOCSIS, 5G/LTE, EPON/GPON, WiFi, and Ethernet
• Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills using tools like gdb, valgrind, Wireshark, and RDK logs
• Experience with development environments and CI/CD tools such as Git, Jira, and Jenkins
• Ability to understand and work with complex software architecture
