Hardware Engineer

Contract Role (6 Months Rolling)

Are you a hands-on hardware engineer who thrives in a fast-paced, product-driven environment? We’re hiring for an exciting opportunity to work with a globally recognised entertainment brand on cutting-edge consumer electronics.

This full-time contract role offers a unique chance to get under the hood of innovative tech products - working closely with test labs, software teams, and real hardware.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to troubleshoot and resolve hardware issues across complex consumer devices
• Reading and interpreting schematics and PCB layouts to identify circuit-level problems
• Running and supporting detailed hardware tests using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and similar equipment
• Assisting in debugging issues raised by software teams, bridging the gap between firmware and hardware
• Using serial terminal tools (e.g., PuTTY, Tera Term) to interact with embedded systems
• Supporting light Python scripting tasks to help automate test processes or analyze data
• Working with wireless tech including Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, assisting with basic RF diagnostics

About You:

• Comfortable with schematics, board layouts, and test/debug practices
• Hands-on experience with lab equipment: oscilloscopes, multimeters, etc.
• Exposure to Python scripting and embedded serial communication
• Familiarity with wireless technologies (Wi-Fi, Bluetooth)
• Self-motivated, curious, and communicative—able to work well in a collaborative R&D environment
