Quality Assurance Engineer

A leading player in the streaming media space is seeking a skilled QA Automation Engineer to support their Video on Demand (VOD) engineering efforts. This role focuses on building and maintaining automated test frameworks for video streaming systems used by millions of viewers across mobile, web, and connected TV platforms.

You'll work alongside senior engineers responsible for the core VOD pipeline — including content ingestion, playback, and metadata delivery — ensuring a consistent, high-quality user experience.

Location - Latin America

Responsibilities

Build and maintain automated test suites for end-to-end VOD workflows
Use Python to write scalable test scripts and generate reports via Allure
Validate video playback, metadata integrity, and error handling across platforms
Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to ensure test coverage and release readiness
Identify and report bugs in the streaming pipeline, including encoding, ingest, and CDN delivery
Contribute to test strategy, test case development, and system integration testing

Requirements

Strong hands-on experience with Python-based test automation
Familiarity with Allure or other modern test reporting tools
Experience testing streaming video platforms, VOD workflows, or OTT systems
Solid understanding of backend APIs and systems integration testing
Ability to troubleshoot playback, encoding, or metadata issues
Comfortable working in Agile/Scrum development environments
