We’re seeking a driven and autonomous Business Development Specialist to join a globally distributed commercial team. This role is focused on identifying and closing new opportunities in target markets such as Southern Europe (Spain, Portugal, Italy), Latin America, and Africa. The ideal candidate is a hunter with strong networking skills, capable of opening doors with telecom operators and system integrators, and with a solid understanding of embedded software, front-end solutions, and the UX requirements of next-gen media devices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify, qualify, and close new business opportunities aligned with product portfolio.
  • Focus on market expansion in Southern Europe, Latin America, and Africa while avoiding overlap with existing clients.
  • Build and manage relationships with telecom operators, OEMs, and system integrators.
  • Articulate the value of embedded software and user-facing customisations that accelerate time-to-market.
  • Coordinate with engineering and product teams to align solutions with customer requirements.
  • Represent in external meetings, pitches, and industry events as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of pipeline activity and opportunity tracking.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Proven business development experience, ideally with knowledge in embedded software, media technology, or telecoms.
  • Strong network within target regions
  • Solid understanding of user experience, front-end software, and operator customisation requirements.
  • Experience working with or selling to system integrators and media device manufacturers.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, especially in remote and cross-cultural environments.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal oversight.
  • Fluency in English (other European languages such as Spanish, Portuguese, or Italian are a strong plus).
  • Experience working in or selling to markets such as Portugal, Spain, Italy, or LATAM.
  • Familiarity with embedded software deployment in media devices such as set-top boxes or Smart TVs.
  • Understanding of the sales cycle in B2B technology or operator-driven environments.
