If you are skilled in OTT and Streaming, we have the perfect role for you! (Must Have Streaming Experience)
Role Overview:
You will join one of the worlds largest media streaming platforms. Your role will be to build, deploy, and maintain our media streaming platform. The team controls playback end-to-end, from transcoding uploaded media all the way to custom-embedded players in our native and web apps. We handle petabytes of data and gigabytes per second of traffic and strive to provide the best playback experience to our users.
Qualifications and Experience
- General understanding of Media supply chain
- Working knowledge of media codecs, container formats and protocols
- Knowledge of or previous experience with VOD is a must.
- A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent work experience.
- Exposure to scheduling systems, play-out, VoD preparationIn-depth understanding of modern cloud infrastructure.
- A track record of delivering complex software projects using AWS technologies
- Competency in JavaScript/TypeScript and/or Python.
- Practical experience of: Databases: NoSQL and RDBMS, Compute: AWS Lambda, containers and orchestration (EC2, Fargate, Kubernetes, Messaging/integration: SQS, SNS, EventBridge, Storage: S3, EBS, EFS.
- An understanding of event-driven architecture
- An understanding of lean/agile development methodologies
