Senior HbbTV Developer

We are seeking an experienced Senior HbbTV Developer with strong hands-on expertise in legacy hybrid broadcast environments. This role is critical to ongoing HbbTV application development and maintenance across legacy Smart TV devices (2012–2018).

Proven production experience in real HbbTV project environments is essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain HbbTV applications for legacy TV devices (2012–2018 models)
• Build and optimize applications using Vanilla JavaScript (no frameworks)
• Work within CE-HTML and CSS2.1 constraints typical of legacy HbbTV environments
• Implement and manage Stream Event Services
• Ensure compatibility across different TV manufacturers and device generations
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in a fully remote setup
• Troubleshoot performance and device-specific issues in production environments

Required Skills & Experience

• Extensive, hands-on HbbTV project experience (legacy devices 2012–2018)
• Strong expertise in Vanilla JavaScript in real HbbTV production environments
• Solid understanding of CE-HTML and CSS2.1 limitations
• Experience with Stream Event Services
• Ability to work independently and as part of a distributed development team
• Professional fluency in English
