RDK-V Developer

About the Role

We’re looking for a hands-on RDK-V Engineer to support a short-term Proof of Concept project focused on the video stack. You’ll be working closely with internal RDK-B expertise and an external AI partner to help shape and demonstrate new capabilities within the RDK Video framework.

This is a technical, delivery-focused role - ideal for a senior engineer who’s comfortable working independently, exploring, and getting a prototype running on-device.

What You’ll Do

• Lead hands-on RDK-V development for a Proof of Concept project
• Work across both base and application layers within the RDK stack
• Configure and bring up RDK-V on embedded devices
• Implement and validate core video pipeline functionality (decoding, rendering, integration testing)
• Collaborate with internal RDK-B teams and AI technology partners to align POC direction
• Debug, test, and document findings to inform future development efforts

What We’re Looking For

• Strong background in RDK-V (Video) stack development
• Proficiency in C/C++ within Linux/embedded environments
• Hands-on experience with device bring-up, middleware, and system integration
• Understanding of video playback pipelines (GStreamer, HDMI, DRM, etc.)
• Self-driven, capable of researching, prototyping, and iterating quickly
• Experience with RDK-B or other STB/OTT systems is a plus
