Join our client and work for a global leader in digital TV and electronics. They are now on the hunt for an accomplished Senior Embedded Software Engineer to play a pivotal role in the development of software and key components for their next-generation flat-panel TVs!

This software will be deployed in products worldwide; your solutions will improve the platform and user experience for one of the biggest companies in tech!

Responsibilities:

• Design diverse components of a digital TV system, ranging from user interface to driver level.
• Utilise C to implement these designs in a variety of systems, ensuring quality is of the highest standard.
• Ability to work from both internal design specifications and international standards.
• Confidently ensure that work packages meet requirements, quality standards, and are integrated with other parts of the system.

Essential skills:

• Practical knowledge and experience in real-time or embedded software development, using C on embedded Linux systems; including multi-threaded programming (POSIX).
• Analysis and design of software modules within an embedded system.
• Good written English skills are essential.
• Ability to work cohesively with flexibility within a small team.

Nice to have Skills:

• Experience working on set-top boxes or digital TV systems.
• Knowledge of DVB and/or ATSC digital television standards.
• Experience in the development of Graphical User Interfaces.
