Senior Architect

Senior Architect - Freelance Engagement 

Up to £550 per day Outside IR35, Fully Remote

As a Senior Architect, you will play a critical role in designing and implementing a robust and flexible content supply chain. Your focus will be on ensuring seamless production, distribution, and management of media assets across various platforms. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to create scalable and efficient solutions that adhere to architectural principles.

Responsibilities:

1. Supply Chain Agnosticism:
   
   • Design and implement a supply chain that seamlessly handles diverse media formats and packages.
   • Ensure content can be produced once and distributed across different platforms, adapting to their capabilities (e.g., on-demand delivery).
2. Metadata Management:
   
   • Develop strategies for managing and preserving metadata throughout the solution.
   • Ensure metadata models are well-defined and accessible via clean APIs for transparency and system evolution.
3. Dynamic Content Storage:
   
   • Architect a system where content storage locations are dynamic and adaptable.
   • Implement policies to move assets to lower-cost storage tiers without relying on platform-specific storage.
4. User Interface Flexibility:
   
   • Create user interfaces that support core operations from day one.
   • Design interfaces that can be refactored and reconfigured to meet the needs of different broadcasters.
5. Content Security:
   
   • Make content security a top priority in the design.
   • Implement robust security measures to protect media assets.
6. Hybrid Deployment:
   
   • Develop software that can efficiently run on cloud infrastructure.
   • Ensure the same software can be packaged and deployed on-premises if required.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as an architect, preferably in media or content-related domains.
• Strong knowledge of API design, metadata management, and content distribution.
• Familiarity with cloud technologies and hybrid deployment models.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
