About the Role:
We are searching for highly motivated and experienced Lead Engineer/Architect(s) to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing all aspects of content preparation, ensuring high-quality media assets are delivered efficiently and meet project requirements.

To be considered for an interview, you MUST have used ‘SDVI Rally’ and/or ‘Fabric Studio’

Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage the content preparation process, from content acquisition to transcoding and data management.
  • Research and identify content sources (e.g., documentaries, stock footage) aligning with project needs.
  • Negotiate licensing agreements with content providers and manage content acquisition budgets.
  • Oversee content delivery logistics and ensure adherence to timeframes.
  • Manage and maintain content databases or asset management systems.
  • Utilise media transcoding tools and software to convert media files between formats while maintaining quality.
  • Implement and enforce technical specifications and industry standards for content preparation.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to the content preparation team.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest trends and technologies in content preparation and media management.

Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a Lead Engineer/Architect in a media or broadcast environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of media formats, codecs, and quality considerations.
  • Expertise in media transcoding tools and software.
  • Strong understanding of content management systems and metadata management best practices.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to quality assurance.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience working within a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment.
  • Experience with broadcast or media production workflows a plus.
  • Understanding of copyright and licensing issues in the media industry.
  • Proficiency in specific content management systems.
